Today our team had the privilege to move in Jerome, a referral from Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, Inc., who served our country for 8 years in the U.S. Army! Our client LOVES his house plants (he named each of them because they are his “babies”) so we made sure to display them in places where they would get the proper amount of sunlight/shade.

When designers met with Jerome he was trying to fix his bike (before photo), so they met with the owner of #MikesBikes in Palatine who immediately donated the bike you see in the after photo!

The furniture in this home recently came from a very special woman who believed in us 3 1/2 years ago, before WE actually believed in us. She supported us with one of our first family foundation grants and gave us the confidence and encouragement we needed right when we needed it. She is not on FB, but her daughter shows her our posts and will share your comments. Thank you Audrey and Susan, we love you!!!

Our design leads were Mary Peterson Gibbons and Meghan O'Connell Haddad along with a GREAT group of volunteers! Dee Hanley Bauer, Teja Kics, Kathy Robbins, Katie O'Connell Morgan, AnneNoelleSmith and daughters Carly and Lily, Janelle Towne and Sarah Haddad (videographer/marketing intern).

Special welcome guest: Village of Palatine Mayor and former NFL player #JimSchwantz (several of us tried on his #SuperBowl ring and were surprised by how HEAVY it was!!)

Sweets were donated by Sweet C's in #Palatine.

Bicycle donated by Mikes Bike Shop in Palatine.
