After this beautiful hardworking young woman was referred to us we learned that she takes 2 buses and 1 train to get to her job at a fast food restaurant but wants to eventually have a career in real estate. With help from @katieomulcs we were able to get her started in the process to begin @carachicago where they will help her get started in a program to reach her full potential.
We created a home she can be proud of using mostly gently used donations from people within our community. The bedroom in the photos reminded us of a luxury airbnb or 5 star hotel!
This is a living room as colorful as our clients vibrant personality! She told us it was “perfect and better than she imagined”.
From the first phone call we knew that our next client would have what takes to break the cycle of poverty and live a life worthy of the confident person she was created to be! She has suffered so much loss in her life, her grandmother who raised her recently passed and she just buried her brother 2 days prior to this move-in. We wanted to show her that there are people out there who care and that she is NOT alone.
It’s the PEOPLE within our community who enable stories like these to happen!
