  • If item/furniture are extremely heavy or large we will not be able to accept them

  • Small kitchen appliances and items (microwaves, dishes, utensils, glassware, pots & pans)

  • Comforters, quilts, throw blankets

  • Rugs - Please NO stains or pet hair

ITEMS WE ONLY ACCEPT NEW

ITEMS WE DON'T ACCEPT

  • Food, clothing, sleeper sofas, bunk beds, bed systems, large appliances, armoires, hard-wired lights or fans, telephones, mounted mirrors, exercise equipment, holiday decor, large desks, printers, rugs larger than 5x7 and stuffed animals. Entertainment center, used mattresses and box springs, china cabinets, vanit-bathrooms, used baby items, bed frames, light fixtures.

USING YOUR DONATIONS

Sometimes we receive an influx of donations and run out of space in the warehouse, or we receive too many of one type of item at the same time. When we have a large selection of used, good quality excess stock we will host a warehouse sale once per quarter.  Proceeds from the sales will be used towards the purchase of new mattresses, cribs and other items for our clients. Whether your donation is used in a Move In or sold in our warehouse sale, it will directly benefit a family in need.

HOW DO I DONATE?

Use the form below to tell us about items you can donate. Our coordinator, Sherry, will respond to you.

Once approved, you may bring the items to our warehouse located at 6119 East Avenue, Hodgkins, IL 60525 during opening hours: Tuesday & Thursday 11am - 1pm

If you require pickup, an appointment will be scheduled. At the time of your appointment, items need to be placed either curbside or in your driveway. Drivers are NOT allowed to go into homes. ​ Drivers must be paid in cash or by check made to “Home 2 Home Project” at the time of pick-up. If payment is not made, your appointment will be rescheduled.​

Fees to pick up donations are considered tax deductible and go toward covering the operating costs of this pick-up service.

SMALL - $50.00-75.00 (1-3 LARGE ITEMS or WITHIN 5 MILES OF OUR WAREHOUSE)

MEDIUM - $75.00-$100.00 (4-5 ITEMS or WITHIN 5-10 MILES OF OUR WAREHOUSE)

LARGE - $100.00+ (FOR ANYTHING OVER 5 ITEMS WITHIN 5-10 MILES OF OUR WAREHOUSE)
